Maverick Garces was born in Tokyo where he spent much of his youth mashing buttons at one of the city's then many arcades (RIP GiGO Ikebukuro). He now lives in Seattle’s Chinatown. You can find him most mornings waiting in line at Fuji Bakery with Shinji, his mini schnauzer.
For the past five years, he has worked from strategy to execution across branding, advertising, printed matter, interactive and environmental projects — with the aim to create work that is emotional and investigative, and grounded in research and cultural understanding.
