In 2022 alone, Allbirds opened close to thirty new stores — more than doubling their brick-and-mortar portfolio. We saw this time of growth as an opportunity to take on a series of initiatives that improved upon various aspects of our fleet — focusing on high-level changes regarding customer engagement to more tactical approaches to tiered marketing campaigns. Bridging brand and environmental design disciplines,
 I worked closely with our larger retail organization to prioritize and build scalable systems that addressed these areas. Our product assortment was reorganized in ways that encouraged customer learning; marketing displays were designed to be more engaging and produced at lower costs; and several signage optimizations were implemented to improve both front and back-of-house operations.

Our product wall was redesigned to include digital displays that could showcase a breadth of marketing communications, and shoes were made more accessible by taking them off rigid lasts and onto a much more simpler, approachable, and cost-effective shelving system.
